FAQ

AC Repair — common questions

Don’t see your question? Call 862-703-4222 — a real person answers, 24/7/365.

Why is my AC running but blowing warm air?

The usual suspects: a refrigerant leak, a failed capacitor keeping the outdoor unit from starting, a dead compressor, or a badly clogged filter or coil choking airflow. Each has a very different fix and price — which is why we diagnose first and never quote off a symptom over the phone.

Why is there ice on my AC lines?

Ice means the evaporator coil is getting too cold — usually low refrigerant from a leak, or starved airflow from a filthy filter or failing blower. Shut the cooling off (fan-only is fine) so it thaws, and call us; running it frozen can take out the compressor, the most expensive part in the system.

My AC is older and uses R-22 refrigerant. Can you still fix it?

Often yes — but R-22 was phased out of production, so recharging leaky older systems gets more expensive every year. If your system runs R-22 and needs a major repair, we’ll lay out the repair-vs-replace economics honestly so you’re not pouring money into a dead-end refrigerant.

Do you charge extra for nights and weekends?

Emergency availability is real — we answer 24/7/365. Whatever your situation, you’ll get the price before any work begins, so the decision is always yours and never a surprise on the invoice.
